In this workshop, actors will learn how storytelling happens in the GAPS of a stage fight. Through movement, students will create a unique story to a short piece of fight choreography.

React’s Advanced Repertory class is for the student considering studying contemporary performance beyond high school, is dedicated to the development and performance of social issues outreach pieces, and is interested in learning diving deeper in their acting. Birds roost together in winter. They tell stories, play games, and face challenges to pass the time and to survive. What does it take to form and to keep a community? Is it in our nature to look out for ourselves, or to look out for each other?

A group of rabbits share stories of courage, bravery, and overcoming impossible odds. What different kinds of courage are there? How can we inspire each other to be brave?

Frogs in a pond wish for a king to come lead them to greatness. But having a king isn’t all it’s cracked up to be— some of them do nothing but sit around like a log, some don’t listen to the people, and some outright lie. How can the frogs care for their pond and take care of each other?

We're heading back to Camp Rivervale (where we do our summer camp, The Experiment) for October 3-5! We won't be building a show, but we WILL be building your skills as an actor and creator. Students will take workshops in theatrical techniques such as improvisation, movement, stage combat, and more! Plus, all the camp classics like nature walks, campfires, and s'mores!
